Bicycles and Safety Helmets
Stands are provided for bicycles. No cycling is permitted within the school grounds.
Police recommend that only children aged approximately 10 years and older ride unaccompanied on the roads. The reason is that children haven't developed their peripheral vision until then and they also find it difficult to judge distances and speed. Parents should ensure that their children are competent and have a basic understanding of road rules.
The correct wearing of safety helmets is compulsory.
Scooters - To promote health and fitness we allow children to ride scooters to school. They must be walked from the public footpaths into and out of the school grounds.
